When do disposable gloves expire? How to store?

Disposable gloves have a shelf life, Latex Gloves and Nitrile gloves have a shelf life of 3-5 years, Vinyl Gloves, PE gloves and TPE gloves have a shelf life of 3 years.

Why out-of-date disposable gloves aren't recommend using?

1. Aging. Nitrile gloves and latex gloves will appear to age after placing for a long time. The tensile strength and elasticity are not as good as before, which affects the tear resistance and puncture resistance, and fails to provide the proper protective effect when used.

2. Pollution. Disposable gloves left in the air for a long time will stick to dampness and deteriorate, and they may become brittle after exposure to the sun. At the same time, bacteria content will also increase. Latex gloves exposed to light, heat, and oxygen for a long time will be yellow, affecting the use.

How to store?

After purchase, gloves should be stored in a cool, dry, and ventilated place to extend their shelf life. Avoid high temperatures exceeding (104°F/40 ° C). Once the product is unsealed, it should be protected from direct sunlight, fluorescent lights, and x-rays. Gloves will have a shorter life if they are not stored following the above requirements. That is, even if not within the shelf life, gloves will also appear brittle deterioration.
